HARRISON CO., IND. (WDRB Fox 41) -- All bets are on the table at Horseshoe Casino.  It's now open after flood waters forced it to close for almost six days.

The casino reopened at 10 a.m. Wednesday, and people were already waiting in line.  The restaurant is also open, with the Paula Deen buffet serving up plenty of hot food.

Eileen Moore, the General Manager

of Horseshoe Casino, says it took plenty of work to shut down what amounts to a small city during the flood.  1600 employees had to leave and $8 million had to be wrapped and secured.

The employees will be paid for the time off, including tips.

This is the fourth time in ten years the casino has had to close due to high waters.  Moore says customers were happy to see the doors open Wednesday morning:  "They missed us, it was funny, we were saying to our employees as we welcomed them back, 'We missed you,' and customers were coming in at the same time, and they said, 'We missed you too,' so it was such a nice reaffirmation of the service that we provide to them."

The flooding waters of Knob Creek have kept the hotel closed for now.  Casino officials say it may reopen as early as Thursday night or Friday morning.
