The death toll from the horrific weekend bus crash on a New York highway rose to 15 today after a 70-year-old man died from his injuries, according to news reports.

The man, who was not identified, died at St. Barnabas Hospital in the

Bronx, where he had been taken after Saturday's crash in "very serious condition," The New York Times reported.

The bus left a Connecticut casino at 3:45 a.m. for New York City's Chinatown, overturning on Interstate 95 about two hours later in the Bronx, as most of the 31 or 32 passengers slept, according to reports. The bus hit a guardrail and turned on its side and skidded into a sign pole that sheared off most of its roof.

Meanwhile, federal investigators were examining the vehicle's "black box" and on-board videotape in an attempt to find out if the driver, Ophadell Williams, was speeding or if he fell asleep while driving, the New York Daily News reported.

Williams, 40, said a tractor-trailer sideswiped the bus.
