Firefighters battled a truck fire inside the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort's parking garage Friday.

The fire injured one woman, believed to be a casino employee, Atlantic City Fire Chief Dennis Brooks said.

The fire was reported before 9:30 p.m., and was under control by 10:30 p.m.

Brooks said a pickup truck that was parked in a

no-parking zone on the garage's third floor caught on fire, with the fire spreading to a nearby electrical unit.

"It was scary," Brooks said. "The tires started melting and popping, and then you have a truck sitting on top of a tank of gas."

The fire produced heavy smoke, Brooks said.

Firefighters used rope to get hoses to the fire - dropping rope over the side of the garage, tying the rope around the hose, then lifting the hoses to the fire scene.

Investigators were still trying to figure out how the fire started, and casino employees were helping with that investigation. Brooks was hopeful that the garage's security cameras captured something.
