Two jockeys are recovering after falling from their mounts during a race at a central Pennsylvania horse track. One of the horses involved had to be euthanized.

The crash happened Saturday night during a race at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in East Hanover Township, as both jockeys headed into a turn in a six-furlong

sprint.

The Patriot-News of Harrisburg reports that both jockeys, Vladimir Diaz and Emilio Flores, were taken to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where they were treated and released.

Flores was riding Lightin Lizzie, which stumbled over Sleetingntexas and sent Flores to the ground. Sleetingntexas had to be euthanized because of the severity of her injuries.
