The newly opened Gun Lake Casino in Allegan County packed so many people inside on Friday that the parking lot overflowed. The sheriffs department also had to close down the 129th Avenue Bradley exit ramps on US 131, saying only that they'd stay that way until further notice. The casino parking lot, with more than 25-hundred spaces, was full by Friday morning, and Assistant General Manager David Frankhouser said that
decisions about whether to allow more people in were being made on an hourly basis. The casino is owned by the Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians. The 165 million dollar facility has about 14-hundred slot machines, 28 gaming tables, a 300 seat restaurant, and three outlet food courts.
