WAYLAND TOWNSHIP – In a last-minute shift in plans, the Gun Lake Casino will open to the public tonight at 10 p.m. following a special VIP ribbon-cutting event.

The public will not be

allowed to enter the casino parking lot until 9 p.m.. The first 500 guests to arrive will be invited to wait for the opening inside the Welcome Center located on the eastern side of the property.

The $157 million casino had been set to open at midnight Friday off U.S. 131 in Wayland Township. After the public opening the casino will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
