Casino location not a sure thing - Beaumont Enterprise

In a Baton Rouge, La., meeting today the Louisiana Gaming Control Board is looking at proposals that would put one more casino either in Lake Charles or Jefferson Parish.

The board is expected to award the state's 15th and

final license to one of three companies, and two of the proposals - one from St. Gabriel Downs and another from Creative Casinos - target the Lake Charles area. Estimated cost of the St. Gabriel project is $167 million for its first phase, while Creative's plans call for a $400 million expenditure for Mojito Pointe.
