Revenues at Perryville's Hollywood Casino were up by $25 daily per machine in January, compared to December, according to Maryland Lottery officals.

The Cecil County casino totaled $7.7 million in January profits, bringing in roughly $165 daily per machine compared to $140 daily per machine in December.

At the same time, revenues from Maryland's newest slot machines

are a couple dollars shy of state expectations for the month of January.

The Casino at Ocean Downs near Ocean City raked in $3 million — or $144 daily per machine — since its Jan. 4 opening. State officials were expecting the Eastern Shore casino to bring in roughly $150 per machine when voters approved slot machines in 2007.

The new machines bring Maryland's slots revenues to nearly $10.8 million for January.
