Two Alabama casino owners, four state senators, and five others arrested in a vote-buying investigation have been released on bond.

Authorities brought them all to court in shackles.

Federal agents spread out across the state Monday to make the arrests.

The eleven are accused of trading votes on a

pro-gambling bill for millions of dollars in payments and campaign donations.

Governor Bob Riley fought the bill and says he's never seen a piece of legislation more corrupt.

Gov. Bob Riley, (R) - AL,"I actually said in my state of the state anytime you have organized gambling that has that amount of money and the ability to use that money in the way they evidently did it should be frightening to everyone in this state."

The attorney for one of the casino operators says there is no question the charges are tied to Montgomery politics, and the upcoming election for governor.
