The casino at the Cal Neva Resort is expected to reopen next Friday.

The owners of Frank Sinatra's old Lake Tahoe resort announced today that casino will reopen with slot machines and video poker. Table games might come later.

Cal Neva's casino was closed last March. The resort is owned by Canyon Capital Realty Advisors, a Los

Angeles investment firm that foreclosed on the property in early 2009.

The casino will be operated by Strategic Gaming Management, a Reno company that runs a small venue in Sparks called Baldini's Sports Casino. Strategic Gaming said it expects to get its license approved next week and begin operations Friday.
