WAYLAND, Mich (WZZM) - With the opening of the Gun Lake Casino drawing near, nearby communities are anticipating a potential jump in business.

The resounding statement from residents and business owners was positive in terms of what the casino may potentially create.
"We're hoping there will be an influx in customers driving through," says Michael Williams, who manages Uccello's Ristorante in Wayland. "Hopefully the whole area will see more business and all of us can benefit from that."
The Gun Lake Casino has already created over 700 jobs, which more than 8,000 people applied for. The casino will open in February.
