City Seeks Community Input About Venture

Officials in Saginaw are considering a new initiative that includes building a casino in the city.

Saginaw Development Director Odail Thorns told the Saginaw News he thinks a casino could revitalize the riverside

community.

Thorns said a similar project in Anderson, Ind. proved to be successful.

Community open house sessions will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 5, at Butman-Fish Library, 1716 Hancock in Saginaw, and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Hoyt Library, 505 Janes in Saginaw.

The public is asked to attend and share their ideas and possible building locations with city planners.
