SANDERSVILLE, MS. (WDAM) - The new Bok Homa casino welcomed over twenty four hundred people during it's first full day and night of operation.

The casino, located in the city of Sandersville in Jones County

opened it's doors to a massive crowd at 11:30 AM on Monday, December 20th. A casino spokesman said from that time until 11PM Monday night, over two thousand people experienced the Bok Homa.

From 11PM Monday night until 7am Tuesday morning, about 400 visitors checked out the 27-thousand square foot gaming facility. The casino is open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.

Officials said they are happy with the crowd and the economic impact already being seen in Sandersville.

The casino is the latest project of the Pearl River Resort organization. That is a development of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
