A Kansas review board will have a final chance next week to review rival proposals for a state-owned casino south of Wichita before picking a developer.

The Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board has scheduled a teleconference meeting for 2 p.m. Tuesday. The

meeting will give its seven members a chance to question prospective developers and consultants hired by the board.

The board has proposals from Dubuque, Iowa-based Peninsula Gaming and Ada, Okla.-based Global Gaming Solutions, which is owned by the Chickasaw Nation. Kansas law allows only one casino in the Wichita area, and the board plans to pick a plan Dec. 15.

Peninsula would build its casino near Mulvane, about 18 miles south of Wichita. Global's site is near Wellington, another 14 miles to the south.
